Art in your home.
Art is what gives a space attitude, it is a conversation piece but above all to me it should evoke an emotion. Don't discount that gut feeling. If you are really attracted to an image, then it should stand the test of time.
I always remember the time a man was looking at one of my images and he was in tears. Upon asking if he was ok his reply was 'this image is so beautiful it has made me cry'. As a photographer this was the greatest compliment I have ever had and I will never forget it. Yes he did purchase the image in a large size to display as a statement piece.
I recommend people get an idea of the size of the piece they are looking at within their room. For myself I take a tape measure into the room and measure how big the piece will be. This is the best way for me. There are also online apps to do this too.
Art can be a conversation starter as well as a statement piece. Visitors stop and want to talk about your image, clients admiring images in an office. I think the the best thing is that it makes you feel good to look at it.
Selling your work as any sort of artist is really putting yourself out there. Of course everyone doesn't like every photographers work, but it is such a great privilege when someone chooses to purchase your work and hang it in their home or office.
Thank you to everyone who enjoys my art. I'd love to see photos of my work hanging in your home or office if you get a chance.
I have chosen a New Zealand company Queensberry to print on top quality products. I wanted to offer top quality paper, canvas, inks and framing, I believe you can't beat quality. In saying that, it still doesn't mean to hang your work where it will be in the sunlight.
Shipping is available to most countries and If there is a piece of my art that you would like in a different size or a different paper, just get in touch and I can give you a quote.
Thank you for taking the time to view my images and read my blogs.
Kindest regards,
Pam
